Due to restrictions that are being made in the forums, as well as the group buys I have been doing getting far more complicated. I have started making web pages to list items rather than trying to put all the info in the threads here.
One problem with that is the general public seems to be finding my offering far more frequently. The problem is that these people have no idea of the structure of a group buy. lets just say that there have been more than one less than happy person I have dealt with lately. As far as my web site goes I can fix that by simply making sure it clearly states it is a group buy and point people to this group for a better understanding on what those are and how they work.

There is an additional situation that creates the same sort of thing that I have little or no control over. recently I received this e-mail
" You have received good reviews on Woodnet so I thought I would
buy from you. I would like the set for $15 and a 6 blade head. My
address is

XXXX XXXX
XXX XXXX XXXXXX
XXXXX XX XXXXX

How much is it with shipping and how can I pay you"?

The problem here is that I have never heard of woodnet, have no idea how my name got there much less a review etc. Now I do not mind my name getting spread around and I do not mind people spreading the news of group buys at all. I do mind people stepping in blindly and then getting upset with me.

So what I am looking for is a simple one or two line explaination that I can send to people, something like a footer or small print thing, to anyone that the messages is not coming dirtectly from this group. the message need to make it clear that this is a group buy and that products are paid for in advance of them even being in stock ordered or whatever.
I have been mulling it over but seem to have a good case of writers block. so if anyone would like to offer up some suggestions I would really appreciate it. I don't think the above is complete enough to really explain a group buy but maybe I am getting caught up in my trying to convey more info than is needed thing also.

also this is notice to anyone that e-mails me from there other e-mail acounts my replies are very likely to contain this little explaination. I am not trying to be annoying so please just bear it and ignore.

Thank You

Having never participated in a group buy nor fully understanding the process other than what I have seen on the site, I would start with something added as follows (tailored to be factually correct IF I misunderstand the nature of the process):

Please note: This is an offer to participate in a group buy. A group buy is defined as a purchase wherein all those desiring to participate PREPAY for any item desired (including shipping to the group buy administrator and the eventual shipping to the participant) and the group buy administrator places an order for the entirety of all items ordered by all participating individuals. As such, group buys are not to be considered an expedient manner of purchasing such desired items nor should any participant expect to receive such item prior to the closing of the group buy, the order having been placed with and processed by the manufacturer, shipment thereof having cleared customs and reaching the group buy administrator, and the item having finally shipped to the participant(s). As the orders come from foreign countries (i.e. China, India, Brazil, Japan, etc), the expected delivery times once shipped vary and sometimes are delayed by customs, shipping issues, and/or delays unforeseen at the time of order (i.e. acts of god, weather, strikes, material shortages, etc.). Do not participate if you 1) need the item right away; 2) need the item for a deadline or other time certain; or 3) do not understand that the process is such that participants are getting discounted products in exchange for large purchase quantities and the accompanying uncertainty in the time of delivery from a foreign corporation. By participating in this group buy, you acknowledge that the group buy administrator has limited control over the arrival of the products and agree to refrain from contacting same with complaints regarding the timeliness (or lack thereof) of delivery. Be assured that all orders are insured during shipping against loss but such a loss would necessitate a reorder thereby resulting in the time table for delivery being reset.

(side note: Are the orders insured against failure of the company to deliver???)

How about:

This offer is limited to members of the IAP, found on "www.penturners.org" If you wish to participate and you are not a member of the IAP,

J. L. you are very close to what I am looking for. I think I can take it and use it as inspiration.
