I'm a newbie, made a few first pours over the weekend using the 3/4'' pvc tubes. Didnt turn out to bad, but i think im gonna need a pot for better pours. Does anyone know anything about H6329 2 1/2 gal. pot? $139.95 or the H6330 for $81.95?
In my price range, not sure about shipping price though. Thank you for any and all info.

Pass. Only because the max psi is 45. My pot is 50 and it does well but there have been blanks lost because it was not enough. I am looking for a pot now that will go much higher.

I am not really sure. I know some folks use upwards of +75psi. I am watching ebay for one to sho up at a reasonable price.

I bought the grizzly pot. I have to say that I'm very please with the construction. The brackets are welded on and the lid brackets have a notch that prevents the washer/thumbscrews from slipping off. I have mine pressure testing in the shop now. I filled it to 40psi (my target) and turned off the compressor. The regulator on the compressor allowed a slow increase to about 70PSI and the relief valve was allowing air out without a full "pop". I readjusted the regulator and reset the valve. It seems to be holding fine (even with the mixer shaft that this model has).

Yes a Brinks is probably better, but compared to a HF pot, its a vast improvement. I know some have taken the HF to 80PSI, and while I wouldn't recommend it, I'd do it with this one before the HF.

Need to remove the paint collection tube and I'll be ready to cast with it.

Can you tell me please if there are any other modifications needed to the Grizzly Pressure Pot from out of the box other than to remove the paint tube? I am not familiar with what I would need to do to get started and would appreciate any help. Also which Grizzly Model did you get?

Thanks so much for letting me know.

H6329 2-1/2 gal. Paint Tank w/ Gauges

This is the one I got.

Out of the box, I cut off the paint pick up, and installed a quick connect for my air hose, and adjusted the mixer shaft.

The mixer shaft is a 5/8 inch steel rod with a propeller on the end. The propeller has a nut to remove it, then there are a couple collars (one inside the tank and one outside) that hold the rod static. Loosen the nuts on the collars and raise the rod. Easy. I replaced the rod with a shorter piece of 5/8 brass that I had on hand.

I went with the Harbor Frieght pot, i heated the tube that runs inside the pot for paint pick-up and it came out very easy, went to lowes and got a valve for the inlet and another to let the air out.
