Hello all. Just joined the group as the pen turning bug is still with me even though we've retired from turning any more and are now full time rv'ers - traveling around and fishing when we want. Turned pens and did shows full time with hubby for 5 years, but then moved from TX to CO, and had no place for a shop. So we ended up with a lot of inventory that we just put away. When we decided to become full time rv'ers and see this great country, we decided that it's about time to find good homes for our vast collection of pen turning stuff - loads of wood, assorted kits, etc... Made me sad to start getting all the great pen turning misc ready to sell - in fact it's about to rekindle the turning bug. Bummer is, no room in the rv to haul it all around. But we made a decent living at it with fine art shows for 5 years, and that's a great memory, so I guess I'll have to sadly leave it at that. Put the finished pens and all the good materials and supplies up online in my little store when I have time and call it a great experience from the past.
But I can live vicariously here with you guys if no one minds me chiming in with some tips, tricks, shortcuts, or successful techniques from the past! Thanks for having this great penturning website for me to enjoy it all over again!
