Thanks to all who attended the Ohio Chapter meeting yesterday. It was a great turnout and a great time. A HUGE thanks to [profile]Glenn McCullough[/profile] and [profile=j_b_fischer]Jim Fischer[/profile] who came down from Michigan to kick start our chapter.

Later today I'll post a few of the photos I took.

Thanks for having the meeting I had a great time, even though I only caught the end of it. Here is a picture of the pen that I won. I had to use a different pen blank because the one that came with it had an air bubble in it and chunked on me down to the tube.

so...tell us about this blank!!It is a sweet pen BTW!

The blank is a diagonal cut piece of zebra wood. If you look at the pictures that Ronnie Breedlove posted, it is the piece of wood that the pen is setting on. Woodcraft was selling scrap pieces of wood, out of a bin for $2.40 a pound, so I picked a couple of nice pieces of zebra wood out of it.

Sorry I haven't posted sooner. I had another leg surgery the day after the meeting. Learned a lot first-hand about finishing thanks to Glenn's demo. I enjoyed the meeting! A big thank-you to all involved for setting up the meeting! Looking forward to the next one!
