We do a farmer's market every saturday in the summer. It runs from 9-12 every saturday morning. Today was the second of this year. My wife does jewelry, and of course you know what I do... We sold more this morning than at any other local craft show or farmer's market than we have EVER done! A total of about $750 in a 3 hour period!! I can finally buy that pen blank I've had my eye on for so long!!!

Well done Dave, (and other half of course). How many pens did you shift?
I've never sold a pen yet, but I guess just after payday would be a good place to start.
I hope you get more than just one blank for your efforts[:D]

Cheers

Sold a JSII and a cigar. Sold a pretty nice ambrosia maple vase and a set of salt and pepper grinders. My take was around $400. LOML did the rest. Best day she has ever had. She was on cloud 9, couldn't get the grin off her face!

Let me guess, You $400, Her $350.. you got stuck with the bill at lunch...[;)]

LOL, Something makes me think a guy would be buying lunch if he only made $50 that day.

Congrats on the great sales. For 3 hours at a market is great. I do notice that people do a lot of shopping on holiday weekends, even if it's not a normal shopping holiday. I guess all the retailers are really training us good.

We have a little competition going on. Her stuff is priced FAR below what most of my pieces go for, so it's sometimes frustrating for her because she can sell 3 or 4 pieces, and be thinking all is well, then I might sell a vase, and I'm suddenly in the lead. She was well in the lead today until I sold the grinder set. I actually thought that she was going to win this one. But with all the profits going the same place, we both win this, regardless of who actually wins.... ME!!
