Got my Christmas tree up early this year.

:biggrin: Now I know that some of you have had a tree up and decorated for while now;. But, I have been known to procastinate, usually getting the tree up oh by at least the 23rd of December, so to get one up today is almost a miracle in itself. This tree is my wifes Christmas present. She has always wanted a nice large tree so this year i got her one. Only once let me tell ya. We will start decorating tomorrow. Ill post pictures of it when its done as well. Merry Christmas to all.

Nice tree, but I do not think I will ever put up a tree in my house that require scafolding to do so!

HOLY CRAP that is a huge tree in a huge room.

I left the scaffolding up so we can use it to decorate the top. Used a come-a-long to winch the tree up. My dad helped me put it up he's 73.

Thank you John. Its bigger than I would have chosen but my wife has really wanted to have one for a long time.

I'm sorry, but I feel an urge to laugh uncontrollably. Once my wife finds out what I am capable of, it automatically becomes "what we do" until she decides differently. That is, of course, because I love her like crazy.....

Now thats a Tree!
We get a 12-14 footer every year but they are hard to find with a good shape. We trade new ornaments with a group of friends every year and now have enough to fill at least two trees. Its hard to remember where they all came from. Can't wait to see the pic of it all decorated.

And when the seasons all over, save a chuck of the bottom section to turn something special. I've made small vases and other items from my previous trees, of course small because the tree was only 8 1/2 ft.

the stand isnt as large as you think although it does use chains and turnbuckles. It is only 34 unchews accross the legs. It is more stable than I thought it would be. I will be taking the tree out in pieces whenits over.
