Got Jet?

Got my jet mini VS via UPS today.

How exciting? Very..until I opened the box and took it out and found a hairline crack in the casting, just below the head stock.

Any thoughts?? Will this be a huge issue? It is a pain to ship a 70 lb lathe!

Call the place of purchase immediately and tell them. Personally I would demand a new one delivered at no charge and no charge for sending the old one back!

Make ,em replace it. Once a crack starts in a cast part, it is hard to stop. The crack might also indicate some sort of abuse (not necessarily intentional, accidentaly dropped maybe), that may have caused other faults that are not readily seen.

Our 20-year-old is Rebekah and always goes by Bekah (same as Becca) or Beckster to close friends and family. When we called her Rebekah she was in trouble like you, but if ANYONE calls her "Becky" then they get called by their full name because they are in trouble. []

Oh yeah, this thread was about a crack. Immediately have them replace it, in the long run you will be glad you waited. Make them send you a new one and then you can still play with the one you have until you get the new one.

Becca, I am always called Dario...when my wife starts calling me Dario Octaviano (I know I am in trouble) [B)][xx(]
