I need to delete my google account from my work computer(windows) without it being deleted from my other devices (android phone and macbook pro).
Concerned with losing passwords, bookmarks, photos, documents etc from other devices.

Delete my profile, totally delete Chrome...help

Thanks
Don

I think as long as you just uninstall chrome from your computer it should not affect the other devices. The only google I use is gmail and that is only in outlook mail. The only way it will affect your phone etc is if you deactivate the account and have google remove everything in it. If you store pictures, documents etc on google itself they will still be there and you can access them from any device.

On your work computer, sign out of your google account.
Uninstall Google.
Then, delete all the files and related folders.

Alternatively, reformat your work machine.

I'm no expert, but as long as you have "Sync" turned on so that passwords, bookmarks, etc are synchronized between devices, then Gary's answer should be correct. I'm not sure about photos, I don't use Google Photos.

First, you just need to log out (sign out) of your google account on the computer you no longer want to use it on. Once you are signed out, then any further actions cannot be "synced" to the server. All saved passwords and the like will still be stored online and on other devices.

Once you have signed out, then you can clear your browser cache, close the browser. If you want to completely remove ALL Google products, then you would need to uninstall them with the Windows uninstallation control panel app. IMO, if you are using Chrome, you don't need to remove that, to remove any account details, unless you are intending to sell the computer. If you no longer intend to use Chrome and are going to switch to a different browser, then might as well uninstall it an any other Google apps.

If you ARE intending to sell the computer, then I would say find a drive cleaning program, something that can wipe any remnant details from the drive storage cells. Reinstall windows with a CLEAN INSTALL (do NOT save your personal files or programs), then run the cleaning program after windows has been freshly installed. There are some out there that will zero out (or even randomize) the data on the drive's free space. You never know what people might buy your used computers, and its a good practice to make sure you don't leave any personal data behind. If you leave windows installed and don't clean the drive, there are remnant pieces of information that can allow the next owner to recover a LOT of data that you may have thought was deleted. So, clean install windows, and WIPE the free space!
