Well everyone its been a slice but due to some unforeseen circumstances, Bills, taxes to REVENUE CANADA. ( I HATE TAXES) I must sell EVERYTHING to due with pen turning.
I am really upset about having to do this but family comes first and family must come before my beautiful hobby.
I will be keeping all my tools but anything to due with turning including lathe is being sold off with my website and business name to a nice fella that wants to get into pen turning and is as excited as I was when I started. I guess I am a bit depressed about doing this and will not be spending too much time here as it will just rub salt into an open wound. :at-wits-end:
I appreciate ALL OF YOU and everything you have helped me with and taught me during my time here. One day I hope to get back into the business when time and our economy gets better.

Thanks to everyone again.

That is really sad and I honesty hope that you and the family recover very quickly from the money problems. I'm sure you will.

We have many good folks here that haven't turned a pen in years and hang out cos they are buddies and this is a great social place.
Stick around and talk crap with us.

As Skippy said this is a great place just to hang out, but I do understand about rubbing salt in the wound. Family must come first and hope you get the problems settled soon.

Rob,
It is sad to see you go. I realize that circumstances are different for everyone and hope you get along well in the future. The site, however, costs nothing and the folks here are really a great bunch of guys and gals that have many more things in common other than pens and turning. Please hang around and share some of your wisdom with the rest of us. Good luck.

heck, I don't think I've stepped foot in my shop for more than 30 seconds (go in, grab tool and back out) in the last 5 months. Yet, I'm still here.

just because you aren't turning right now, doesn't mean you can't share what you've learned or just be a smart as...... er.... aleck.

I am sorry to hear of your unfortunate circumstances, but that's no reason not to stick around here, we are a friendly lot, (most of the time) and will always lend moral support.

Hang in there buddy, this is a good place for support as well as pen turning knowledge. We will have you in our prayers.

I can't wait until you get back!!!! Look me up when you're ready to return and we'll work on getting you all the stuff you need for your COMEBACK!!!
Hang tuff and GOOD LUCK!

I'm very sorry to see you leave, but from the sounds of things you have your priorities in the right order. Hopefully things will settle down for you and you can get back into pen making when the time is right for you. Until then, take care and God Bless.

So Sorry to hear this. I hope you can get it all settled quickly and go back to enjoying life to the fullest. Stop back when you can even if it's just to say hi.

Sorry to hear about your problems. You are on the right track though by knowing that family comes first. Just because you won't be making pens doesn't mean you can't still hang with us too. Good luck!

I am also sorry to see this happen I also enjoy looking at others pen sites and I like this one for its simplicity and cleanliness, Cheif hope to see you back soon when your problems are fixed. Good luck

Rob,
I'm also sorry to hear about this. Family is always first but...we are part and you are part of a bigger family. Please don't excommunicate, when you are ready to start turning again you will be full of great ideas and plenty of networking friends if you hang out with us. Either way we are here and open to support you.
Take care and Good luck,

Hey Rob,

Best of luck with the family issues, they may be tough now but they are sure to get better. If you can pop in now and then to say Hi that would be great, if not I am sure we will be here when you do. Take care & good luck!!
