Or, I'm going to make one heck of a mess............. It seems that making "one-at-a-time" would take forever.

Any suggestions on casting molds to make a decent sized block? I don't have a pressure pot ~ not sure if that a requirement or not for a large chunk of acrylic.

Any and all input is appreciated,
Thanks ~ Tim

There's a few people here that sell silicone molds. Or..you can go to hobby lobby and buy some silicone. Cut a block of wood the size of the block you want to cast, wax the block. Pour the silicone into a plastic dish that is a bit bigger then the bock. Attach a couple boards to the top of the block and set it down into the silicone. The boards are like a bridge, holding the bock up against the edges so it doesn't sink to the very bottom. When dry, remove the block, pull out the silicone, and you have your casting mold.

Some use the 1/2" plastic cutting boards to cut and make molds out of. The PR wont stick and pulls away from the sides when set, so you only have to turn over and hit down on a workbenck to knock the block out. If you make one, make sure you leave one end that can be removed easly so if you need to pry the block out with a screwdriver you can get under it. I believe the cutting boards are a high density poly type material. The one I found at Target is an semi transparent white textured 1/2" plastic that I cut on the table saw and screw together. Good Luck.
