Good luck and speedy recovery. A friend has hip replacement about two years ago. Said the PT was rough at first but get better with each session. I'm getting a new knee Dec. 4th. Good thing you can get parts for older models.

This will be my second hip replacement. Then, when I get my left shoulder replaced sometime next year I'll be done. Nothing left to replace.

Just a tip if you're flying anywhere though, always pick the line with the attractive customs officer, preferably one with small hands 😳 ! Also carry your own surgical gloves to lend them cos you are sure going to show on the detectors !

Good luck on your upcoming knee replacement. Had my right knee done in Oct 2023. Fixing to have my left knee replaced in the spring.
 
When I was in the hospital back in Oct. I had to get some CT scans and I was talking with the operator of the machine and we got talking about having knee surgery. he told me he has had both knees done, both hips and both shoulders done. he was going in next week to get his first knee tightened up or something like that. It was sliding around too much. But talk about a bionic man. He looked better than me so I am heading down that path but have other issues right now.

Good luck with surgery. I see this is an older thread so fooled again. Anyway how did it go.
 
Seems like the older models are getting new parts. Finished second PT session and told it was going good.
Good luck! Exercises and PT are very important.

He posted this a a fair bit earlier than the actual surgery. The idea was probably not to count on new blanks for a while. Anyway, I checked in and he said the surgery was not until a few days ago.
 
Thanks everyone for checking on me. Unfortunately the surgery was delayed. I showed up the morning it had been scheduled, was changed into the surgical gown lying on the gurney ready and willing to go. But, I had a cold, and a cough, and the surgeon said, "NO". Probably a good thing since up until about three days ago was coughing and hacking. I still have a slight cough but it is much better now. Surgery was rescheduled 1/9/25.

So it is you I can blame. Have same thing now. Started Tues with soar throat. I was suppose to have a bone marrow test but that can not happen. White blood cells all screwed up now. Took covid test and no signs of that which is good. Just the beginning of the season. I have been in and out of doctors offices and test facilities so who knows where I caught it.
