Just finished watching Team USA take one from the hosts. Why is it that Cindy Crosby could only score when theres a man advantage? Anyway, it was a great game, seemed like Canada had the puck in our end most of the game.

Congrats to team USA. Canada never lives up to the hype. Considering most teams in the tournament have so much NHL talent the winner is the team that can pull it all together in the shortest amount of time.....In that respect, a loss for Canada is good as I think they can use the extra game.

Also, as illustrated in this game we can't ignore the lucky bounces either....:wink::wink: So, Canada's got to get the puck on or around the net more.

I have to disagree about Crosby not scoring at full strength. Afterall it was an excellent tip he did on the first US goal into his own net 41 seconds into the game. :biggrin:

I'm Canadian and I'll be the first to admit Canada didn't deserve to win. They had lots of shots but unfortunately they weren't able to get them off the ice and Miller is excellent down low.
 
Go USA - Great game - lots of excitment and moving the puck around.
Even my wife enjoyed the game and she never watches hockey.

It's Sidney. Your Miller was the "difference" maker in this game. Good game from the US, but this "tourney" is not over yet. :)
 
Likely Canada vs Russia in the quarterfinals -- looking forward to that one! Assuming I can find it on one of the NBC cable channels! Still don't get why primary NBC carried ice dancing and Bode Miller replays instead of featuring USA-Canada hockey.

Forget about hockey. Curling is the "in" game now. When was the last time you hear some beautiful women shouting, "Hard, hard, easy, easy, hard, hard, ... " during prime time TV :angel::angel::angel:

BTW, curling got some air time on 60 Minutes last Sunday.
 
But, but Cindy aint a man...he cant even grow a beard. He's only a face that Gary Bettman created, must be his illigitimate son. I cant believe the networks only showed HIM after the game...he wasnt the only one that played....If I were on that team, I'd be PO'd...
The USA took it to overtime and hockey is only a pasttime here while it is a religion in Canada. They should have spanked us but good..NOT!
But the game was great and the Olympics were very special....way to go Babcock and Yzerman. Thanks Canada for being such good hosts.

Canada should have had to beat the US 2x since the US was undefeated going into the match. That would be a real round robin series.
 
Yeah, that was a tough one on the chin...but I felt the worst for Marion Hossa. He did his job to beat his old team and lost. He made quite an impression for being here only one year.
I hope the same doesnt happen to him this year, too.

Yeah, that was a set up to the interview with Cindy... The only player on the Canadian team.
Funny, Miller was the first one interviewed. Guess I must have been hallucinating. :wink:
