Gloat- My latest find- wood

During a conversation, it came about that this was going to be burned. It had gone past it's prime. Sooooooo I loaded it into the truck of the car with the help of a fork lift- why you ask? Because things headed for the burn pile sometimes aren't there when you go back. Buckeye burl that isn't native to Vermont.

Nothing I hare more than when a piece of buckeye burl goes past its prime and it has to be burned. I would really watch someones wood pile for the snakewood and the cocobolo burls.

It is sort of like stuff that the folks a bit south of you package up and sell by the kilo, or at least it is called the same thing.

I've got a vacuum pot, pressure pot and a batch of plexi cooking up, as well
as a few cans of wood hardener and PR ..
when are you coming over with that 100 lb burl? Because my shop can handle
that 90 lb burl no problem. I wouldn't want you to waste that 80 lb burl..
We can cut that 70lb sucker into manageable pieces and you'll go home with
all 60 lbs of it, guaranteed.
