G'day from Melbourne Australia
I am retired from working in the I.T. industry and teaching I.T. and as for hobbies, I have done a fair bit of metal work on my lathe and vertical mill, some years in woodworking and the last 3 or so years doing woodturning and have made a few nice but ordinary pens, I'm now doing a bit more with pens including segmenting to add more dimensions to my numerous (too many) hobbies

Greetings from Nebraska and welcome to the IAP community. I am always envious of some of the amazing timbers that can be found in your part of the world. Crosscut or diagonal cut Hairy Oak is one of my very favorites, but it is virtually impossible to get here in the USA. There are also some outstanding penmakers in Australia as well. - Dave
