Hi Gary,

I haven't been around the IAP much for a while but thought I'd share what my old basement looks like with the 2010 moose shed hunting season coming to an end. We may get in a few more days in the next week or two, but the underbrush is coming up fast.

Anyway, my buddy and I (with the two black labs) ended up with 48 so far this year (a record for us) and Riley found 23 of them. The left pic is of old/chewed sheds that I will dry and use for pens and such. The other three photos (all different sheds) will get used for lamps, clocks or other projects. The last picture is from Valentine's Day - check out the massive bull moose rubs on the trees near where this shed fell.

Reagrds,
Steve

How super cool! Wish we had some down here a little further south in New England.

Would you have time to show a pen made of moose?? I'd like to see if it is different than elk or deer. If not, that is okay.

John,
Like most other antler, they vary. Some contain marrow and others more "bone". Here are a few.
