This is a new kit from Woodturningz, in gunmetal. I really like the design. The wood is Thailand rosewood. I found a nail in it as I was drilling, but decided to leave it as an experiment. I was able to turn it with HSS chisels. Surprisingly, there were no sparks. I don't know why, but I really like the nail in it. It adds visual interest. The finish is Pens Plus.
