Thanks for the welcome.
I've been turning pens for nigh on 15 years and look forward to learning new tricks from all of the forum's experienced members. I'm about to get into segmenting and celtic knots.

Welcome, Bob.
I did a bit of work on Bruny Island a few years back.
I remember walking to the shore and picking a large bucket of oysters in about 5 minutes and having a great feed at dinner time.
Also seeing the fairy penguins.

Welcome Bob! Be sure to checkout various articles on making segmented and celtic knot pens in the "Resources", "IAP Library". Lots of stuff there.

Greetings from Nebraska and welcome to the IAP community. There are some fantastic turners in your part of the world. I am always envious of all of the beautiful timbers that grow in Australia and New Zealand. Looking forward to seeing some of your work. - Dave
