For those that remember the Bruce Wizard Fretwork pen. I gave it a good attempt. I must succeed to Bruce on that one. It is so friggin tiny and being a mirror image on both sides, it's nearly impossible to cut out. To scroll it into a plastic pen with no seams makes it even more difficult, because the fret has to be cut in reverse. The attempt was to cut out all the pieces from white plastic then cast it in black, but I can not get both sides to mirror each other. Half the problem is that plastic and paper lift up on the cut lines so that you no longer know where to cut, because the pieces are only 1/64 wide. So Bruce...rather then spend my life proving it can be done, I surrender!!!

I must say, if anyone could have done it, it would have been you. I would never attempt the things you do with a scroll saw. Maybe there's a collaboration in our future rather than a contest.

Jeff, I admire you for trying. If anyone could have done it, it would have been you. I think we just have to accept that some tools are going to be capable of greater detail than others. A collaboration between you and Bruce sounds like a great idea!

I'll let you use this one, Jeff.
