I have some Lilac wood I cut off an overgrown bush last weekend.
I know nothing about how useful it is, but I thought I would try to get it in the hands of a penturner, and saw your forum.

It is BEAUTIFUL wood, but man it takes forever to dry, in my experience. The bushes we've used have been smaller so we just cast the root ball. Takes forever to get the dirt off them!

Removed a neighbor's lilac bush. This is from that stash. All natural - no stain etc. I have more and look forward to what will come out of it. Did a couple of stoppers as well with excellent results.
