A friend of mines Son in Law is a Gator fan so I made this pen so she could give it to him as a gift. It's been a long time since I've made one of these so it was fun doing it once again. She said he likes the crafty things so I'm giving her these pictures as well. That way he can get an idea of the process. Thanks and Questions and Comments Welcome.

Beautiful work ! I'm sure it will be enjoyed. Personally, I'd never have it. No disrespect but I'm a Georgia Bulldog fan. I still can appreciate the craftsmanship you put into it ! Well done.

I understand Bullwinkle. I've made a few of these and several for my friends that like LSU. They like the alligator being Cajuns. My son and money went to Tx A&M so I'm partial to maroon and white. Since I didn't go to college my hats off to all those that did.

It is excellent work. I myself am lazy. I turn kits only and purchase the blanks. I admire custom casting but it's extra work so I never tried it.

Casting is a hobby in itself. I wanted the freedom to make blanks that I wanted but wasn't available anywhere else. When I first got into pen turning I saw some snakeskin blanks that I thought were awesome. That's when I started down this rabbit trail. Thank You for the compliments.
