This is my first successful holow form from walnut. My frst was successful until I parted it, leaving a hole in the bottom. This one is one piece(photos to prove it are available upon request). It is 4.75" tall and 5.75" wide and has a danish oil finish.

Glenn,
That is a nice piece... really like the shape and form.

Sympathize with the bottom... I make lots of very fancy funnels myself.. good redesign opportunity.. make the bottom nice and flat, glue another piece on and tell everyone that's your original plan..:biggrin:

Nice form. In the day of everyone wanting to go super thin, this piece/shape really looks good the way it's presented. Tough luck on the funnel, happens to everyone. Just difficult to gauge inside to outside dimensions while chucked up. Like Chuck said, add a piece to the bottom and add a foot/pedestal and claim it was a designed characteristic.

Leave the first one open on the bottom and call it a fancy wooden funnel......Very nice form on this one. Congrats!!
