... After entering these pens into our AAW Club Challenge tonight, and winning the challenge, I was asked to e-mail one of our members about an Art Show coming up in February. Seems he wants a Pen Artist included in the three day event that supports a local museum.

There will be the usual meet and greet as well as artists displays for invited guests and public to browse. I have to supply one pen of my choice for a silent auction fundraiser and pay a $45 entry fee. Everything I sell I get to keep 100% of the proceeds.

So, I am e-mailing him and getting all the details.

Dave

Congrats on your win and the upcoming show. I never hesitate to donate a pen to our school's or church's auction. It's a great (read easy) way for me to donate to charities I care about. The plus sides? Lots of folks will see the pens in the brochure or online catalog and you'll probably make a sale or two just from that. And, it amazes me when a simple slimline pen will go for $150 in an auction if it has some kind of connection - using wood from the school's grounds, etc.!

Best of luck with the show!

Well, I just received confirmation. I am in!

I was told I don't have to be Juried into the event, as it has already been taken care of. Guess that means I better make some really good stuff:D

Now to inventory my kits and order up some additional varieties so I can appeal to a wider audience[:p]
