First off, sorry for the bad pics. I brought them into work to show a colleague and used my cell phone.

I've done a handful of castings so far. All PR. Some cigar labels, some fishing lures, paracord, etc. But this was my first with a thin paper. I used origami paper because of the small designs and the gold foil outlines that really make it stand out. I have a couple more already cut, just need to glue them to the tubes and cast them.

As always, all comments and tips welcome.

tricks for no bleed, paints not dissolving?

e.g., water/glue wash? acrylic sealant spray? clear epoxy cover?

my main trick was just finding the right paper. non-absorbant, bright colors, etc.

all i did to prep this was cut the design out a little bit so there was no seam, smeared a dab of thick CA on the brass tube and started to roll the paper till it all stuck. Casted, turned, and by the way....sold already.

Beautiful ... smart. Congrats on the it working out well.

I've done that exact same thing with wrong paper, fabrics, etc. with no success. So, I'm a wee bit jealous ;-)
