This is my latest Slimline, I used a NR 11mm 2" radius carbide chisel, worked thru 600 grit sandpaper, then up to 12000 Micro mesh, then 2 coats of One Step.
Turned out slicker than snot, I like the black hardware. Moving forward I want to concentrate on taking the barrels down much more thinner.
Oh and I did color the tubes with black sharpie, but this material turned out not very transparent.
I'm learning alot and reading alot on this Forum.
Thank You

DAVE

Yeah, that purple and black look great together! That shape is liked by many people. Should've seen my first slimline. Turned it down way too far so the kit was way proud of the barrels. lol. That was 15 years ago. I still have that pen and I've been thinking about going back and adding several layers of CA glue to make it right.

Nice Looking Pen. Some people really do like the more bulgy bottom like that. My wife is one of them - her favorite pen so far is an early modified Slimline (Slimline but with a Comfort center band) that has a thick bottom like your pen. I've even had to repair it a time or two for her. After about 4 years of use, the transmission has become a little too loose so the refill slowly retracts as she is writing. I suppose one of these days I will have to knock it apart and press in a new transmission. - Dave
