My first try at casting using the casting epoxy from Michaels and a .25 cent bag of shredded currency from a yard sale. I will let you know if it works but I am hoping to get some alluminite soon and try that. The mold is a silicone mold I got at Dollartree came loose easily

I would say that is looking good. you used epoxy or polyester? I tried epoxy and it worked but was very duel finish. looking forward to seeing finished pen.

I mixed so it looked like mud and added more and thought I had it real thick but as I found in the picture it has some gaps between the money and it is throughout the block. When I cut it I will post more pics.

Your off to a good start. As you will find as you turn money blanks, there are often open areas that will show the tube so make sure you paint the inside of the drilled hole and the tube before you epoxy them in. This way it will all blend nicely when finished and no brass will show through.
