Well, I guess instead of CA falling into the ocean from an earthquake, it's just going to burn up [V]:([:0] We have our vacation home in Big Bear and are safe as of now, thank goodness. I feel and pray for the Fire Fighters, Victims and loss of property. We live in southern CA by the border towards the desert and are being asked to find housing for evacuees from San Diego. We will try to help!

BTW, if there are any penturners in SD and surrounding area that need to evacuate please contact me.

Unfortunately fires and earthquakes are a part of life in So. Ca. They don't call this the land of shake and bake for nothing. When the Santa Ana winds come up after a dry summer it doesn't take much to get an inferno going and unfortunately there are a lot of nuts who like to do that type of thing. Wouldn't surprise me at all if when this is all over they find most of the fires were arson.

During the space shuttle launch coverage on www.nasa.gov today they showed satellite pictures of the fires between Los Angeles and San Diego. They also got some live shots from the space station. The trails of smoke heading out across the Pacific made quite an impressive. Now they say that the Magic Mountain amusement park is in danger.

It's truly a miracle that more people and pets haven't been hurt. I hope any members in the area make it through unscathed.

here is a shot of the sun setting over my neighbor house.....and I'm in the city and safe. keep your prayers coming. there are alot of people that will need them.
