Monday was a weird day. Went to the shop to do a little casting. Set up and preheated the oven. Set up molds fine so far poured resin in cup, put it in the oven (did this many times before) walked into other room of shop for a part came back. FIRE!!! It was in the oven and getting bigger. I grabbed the extinguisher and shot the oven. The oven flashed back up. I unplugged the oven opened the door shot it again with the extinguisher then threw it outside. It did not flair back up.
No loss other than the oven, a jacket and some resin.
50 year old building could have gone quick. I got real lucky.
I think I will check out using an old crock pot to pre heat my resin.
