"best finish "

For these in wood-- probably a pre catalized lacquer --

For me, since that is not especially practical, Enduro or wipeon lacquer works well after some fine sandpaper work with mag-eyes.

for stabalized blanks, fine sanding and polishing with the Foredom

For acrylics - fine sanding and polishing with the Foredom and magnification and good light to see the scratches.

Yeah they don't mention you can't friction polish. I tried it spent about 30min with a knife getting the groves scraped out. Tried acrylic same problem. Acrylic was easier to clean.

Can anybody advise me on the best finish to use on pens decorated with the wizard with no filling.

This is Bealls suggested way of polishing: Coat the blanks in danish oil, letting it soak in, then use the Beall 3-1 polishing buff with the compounds. I've got an idea that polishing instuctions are in the PW manual? Be carefull that you don't press to hard on the buffs as it can take off fine details, ie fine chequering. DAMHIKT!!!!!!!!!!!!
They don't tell you this till after you've bought the Pen Wizard, thats what I found out????
