Finally....success with Soapstone

After the first debacle with trying soapstone. I gave it another try last night. I kept it simple witha keychain. That way I didn't have too much invested if I again had issues.

This one turned out great. It's just a simple keychain, but I am very pleased with it.

Turned great. Sanded with no issues. Finished with CA. MM to 12000, then buffed.

Be VERY careful with soapstone turning and sanding. It has Asbestos in it, and that is no good for the lungs. Blow the air out of shop, and wear proper masks. Check out on Google.
