Well we are finally in Washington and have internet access again. Been here for about 3 weeks and just started my new job on monday. So far it seems to be fun.

We found a house we wanted and the sellers accepted our offer on it. Nice little 4 bedroom home with a 2 car garage. The best part is......

a separate 20x24 Shop in the back yard for me!!!!!

So I am pretty stoked right now. We don't close until Aug 28 but I can't wait. Will be nice actually having room in the shop now.

Will put up pictures once we move in.

It's great to be back!

I am jealous I lived in Spokane for 3 years in the Air Force and should have never left there. Congrats on your new home and good luck

Congrats on the new place, I hope you are happy with your new place. And of course I just received notice that I will be in Groton for the next week or two. At least I can commute to there.

The house we are getting is in Kennewick. Looking forward to it. I work in Richland so I'll have about a 30 min commute but the house is worth it.

Well did the home inspection today. Passed with flying colors. Few minor details like doors not latching (simple striker plate adjustment) and some recaulking. Home is only 7 years old so didn't expect many problems. Current homeowners seemed to have taken good care of it. The biggest problem was the garage door opener didn't work.

Found out some more interesting things about the home. Back patio has cable and surround sound hookups for entertaining.

Shop has both AC and heating, plus a couple oscillating fans hard mounted to the ceiling. Apparently the wiring was done by someone professional and detail obsessed LOL. When the home inspector took the cover off the breaker panel, he said he it was some of the best wiring he had ever seen. Very good news for me!!

The shop seems to have served double duty as a Man-Cave. There was no less than 3 television sets out there as well as cable and phone hookups. (although not too sure about the phone thing, that means the wife can call me at anytime rather than walk out to get me.........hrm....)
One of the televisions was a big screen (~50 inch) on a rolling platform. Too bad can't get him to leave that LOL

So, all in all, very good news about the house we are buying.

Well it's been a while but great news.

We just cleared the underwriter and are now in escrow. Our close date is the 26th of this month so we will get the keys that day.

So this ride is almost over and I am real close to getting my shop.. (oh and the family is getting a new home along with it hehe)

one week to go!!!!!

here's some pics for ya. First shot is inside the shop. 2nd is obviously the front and 3rd is aerial view. Will get better pics once we actually move in on Wednesday.

Sounds like a dozy though. Congrats

Thats to clean for a reall woodworking or pen turning shop. It was a man cave and he hid from his LOML in there.

Nice looking place, nice to have room to put a large shop like that. Enjoy
