Finally Got lessons

On bowl turning with Bill Grumbine as my instructor, very informative class, this was actually a birthday gift from february 4th, tomorrow my pops and me are making a run to the dump to look for logs from all these trees that fell down. Plus my mother is an accountant(can get alot of contacts that way) and she does taxes for different landscapers some i'm going to have her talk to them about free logs, i'll be busy this summer[][}]

Andrew, now I'm jealous!! I have one of Bill's DVD's and have watched it several times. I plan eventually to get up there for some lessons from him.

Bill is one of the best... and just plain good people!

He holds a big turning get together (turning, food, etc) every year (or use to anyway)... you should see about going!

Yeah he lives about 15-20 minutes from my house, and about 2 minutes from my dad's work. He says he does do whole day sessions at his house which includes food and materials.
Edit:forgot ellsworth is 30 minutes from here also

Still does. It is called Five Barns and it is a blast. I believe this year it is July 18th and 19th.
