Aside from the pathetic fake blood, and unnecessary nudity, it's decent so far.

After watching all the interesting Sci-Fi shows multiple times, it was time for something different.

Sorry Don, but Spartacus is one of my favorite series that have come out. I watched every Sunday. The pathetic blood really added to the whole thing. It's not for everyone, as it has tons of nudity, but think the plot was very good.

Spartacus was a a rollercoaster ride of non stop twists and turns that made you constantly want more and more...heck...it was a bottle of kick azz! I can't say I ever saw a show I enjoyed more than that. I actually got mad when it was over each time, because I didn't want to wait another week and I am still sitting here counting the days to the next episode which I think doesn't air until January. The way that show was shot is better than most movies. The fake blood was a little extreme in the first episode, and the series flows better after that. You still have the fake blood which is awesome, but the show becomes a little less 300ish in that particular way. There can never be too much nudity! Espcially too much nudity from the woman on this show!!! Not only does this show have a lot of violence and nudity, heck anyone can make a show like that, but this show has a very compelling set of stories, and everything will tie together in the end. Keep watching Don.

Haven't got that far yet... I have the first 13 episodes on my DVR, but only seen the first 2.

Definitely different. In a good way.

Don
After I watched the first show I can recall telling a friend of mine that it was kind of corny---300ish as refered to earlier, then I figured I better watch the second show, then somewhere in there, I was hooked. The corney cartoonish blood spatters no longer bothered me, instead......I grew to love slave girls!!!!!!!!!!!!

Moke, I agree that the Slave Girls were AWESOME. Now if I could only find me some. And the final episode was bad a$#!! I'm surprised to hear that there will be another season but I'll be ready for it.

My wife laughed at the male nudity. The Gladiator that Spartacus meets when first brought in is running around naked. His peepee is way out of proportion to the rest of his body. My wife laughed out loud when she saw it.

:D

I really love how the show is not predictable. You think something is going to happen a certain way and it never does.

I heard that the second season was filmed immediately after the first season. I also read that there will be a prequel, which will include all of the original cast. I am confused on what I have read, because I do not know if season 2 is the prequel or if season 2 is continuation and the prequel is an addition as well. Honestly...I don't want a prequel although I'll watch it...what I want is to see and know what happens next after episode 13. Raise hell and kill em all I say!

I've gotta say, I kept expecting it to be like the first movie. I have that on VHS still, and watch it occasionally. Kirk Douglas in 1960 was awesome.

That was Spartacus, between him as Spartacus and Charlton Heston playing Moses what other parts of history count?? Oh I forgot about Liz playing Cleopatra. Fine looking Asp.

Hey Jeff, that's why I was wondering about another season. Kill everybody, even the women!!!

I am really looking forward to next season...I am confused with the whole prequel deal, I think Spartcus form an army like the movie. ( I should say I hope) But I am now liking Sookie Stackhouse and then the hot chick from Warehouse 13 --- so I am occupied for now--but looking forward to Janruary when Spartacus and the slave girls return!!!!

I'll take the new Spartacus over Kurt Douglas any day. Now the new Perseus in the new Clash of the Titans movie...well...that whole thing is a huge disappointment. The original Clash was much better...so if you think Kurt was a better Spartacus after watching this series..I can understand why you might hold those feelings. Some things you don't want to change.

I totally want to see Spartacus go to war against Rome. I thought that was the whole point of it all. I feel like the first 13 episodes where just a prequel to what's coming next.
