Well, I am finally able to get back in my shop to work on some pens. I started a PITH exchange pen this afternoon for Gregory (.GFHWoodWerks).
For the last month my wife and I have been clearing a quarter acre of small trees, thick underbrush, and a couple of dead fell trees from a tornado a couple of years ago. I kept track of the scale readings at our local transfer station and it was just over 2 and a half tons -- lots of pickup loads! My last load for a while was this morning. Of course in the evenings I've kept busy fixing things, giving our garage a fall cleanup and winterizing. It's just a lot of little things, but they all seem to add up and take a lot of time.
I had a shop light go out this weekend so I bought a box of type B T8 LED bulbs and decided to re-wire the lights for ballast bypass as the ballasts go out. A lot of my lights are still running type A bulbs though. Now that the lights are back on and I can see, I was finally able to spin up my lathe.
