This is a PSI Fiber Tip pen in black. It's unusual in that it uses fountain pen ink, but has a fiber tip. The blank is a hybrid cast by my friend Dennis. I'm calling it Purple Prince. I dry sanded it to 3000, and finished it with Pens Plus.

I really like the fiber tip pens and you did a really nice job with this one. the blank pairs really well with the black plating.

I carried one of these for about 3 month to test it and they write really nice. They lay down a nice bold broad line. so if you're a fine tip fan this is certainly not the right pen.

Another very interesting pen - great blank and very cool pen kit style. I might have to try making some of these - sort of a baby step towards the fountain pen world. - Dave

Thanks for the "tip" on the the size of the line width.

Nice pen. I'm a huge fan of the fiber tips. You get the look & ink options associated with a fountain pen and none of the futzing with the nib or cleaning.

The tips can be fragile & have about a year life expectancy with normal use according to PSI which is why they sell replacement tips separately.
