Listenin' to Van Morrison's Nov 18, '79 concert live at the moment from
Wolfgang's Vault free online music and more.
Foot tappin', head bobbin', everything's all right music.
Don't think anyone does it better than Van. [8D][8D]

Thanks for the link, Gary. Easy registration and a good selection of music for you old timers and we of the younger generation who enjoy old fogey music. :)

WOW, I NEVER thought I would live long enough for MY music to be called"old fogey music". I believe I'm turning into my father!:D:D:D

Old fogey indeed! [B)] :):D

Moondance -- which is absolutely my all-time favorite #1 album -- has disappeared.
First my eldest daughter confiscated it. [^]
I bought another.
Then, my youngest daughter took that one for her own. [^]
I bought another and went to play it the other day; the case was empty. Someone's taken another copy.
Ahhh, what can you say about an album with 10 great songs on it sung by the master of ballads. :D:D:D [8D];)

Actually, Rick, the music is of my generation. I was just trying to see if I could get a rise out of Gary. Apparently, Van has Gary's attention elsewhere. Our generation produced some truly marvelous music, didn't it?

Van was recently featured on Austin City Limits (I think it's Public TV)...my 14 y.o. now has several of his songs on his Ipod! By the way, I am nowhere near being an Old Fogey....nope, not me, never.....;)

This one is for you Gary.

Hey Gary,
[8D] Talk about old fogeys, I saw Van the man at the Fillmore East before it closed in Manhatten @ 1969-70 (not sure which, don't know why :D)He was very drunk, but he still put on a great show.

I remember him first back in the 60's with "Them".
Baby please don't go
down to New Orleans
you know I love you so
baby please don't go.

Mike, I love that picture. That was me back in the day. Hair down to my ass, gettin' high and playing music. Oughta' be a law! Oh, that's right, THERE WAS![8D][8D][8D][8D][8D][8D][8D][8D][8D]

Was Floyd at the barber shop your dealer too?;) (anyone not following ALL of the Casual Conversations is VERY confused right now!:D

Oh come on Jon, Rick is smarter than that. Just listening to Floyd everyone new he had bad drugs. Stuttering all the time forgetting where we was in mid sentence. [^]

I grew up in Los Angeles,CA, not Mt. Airy. I've lived in NC for the last 20 years. I dare say I wouldn't have had QUITE the same upbringing had I lived in Mt. Airy my whole life.

you think so? and, may I complement your English....muy bueno por un Angeleno!

Muchas gracias, Jon. Su hablar Espanol? Yo tengo cinco empleados de no hablar Englais. Esta necessita yo hablar Espanol, poquito. Comprende?
That's the first time I've ever tried to write Spanish. I know how to say the words but I don't think I can spell them too well.

Hablo un poco... bastante por el restaurante o un tourista!

4 years in high school, now living in the Washington area and frequenting various bodegas and such, plus managing a home construction business where many contractors use English as a second language...it's getting easier every time I use it. My son is also taking classes at school, so I get to practice with him...he laughs because I can't conjugate verbs when speaking...fine on paper, screwed up when speaking!

I know all about the English as a second language guys. I have 5 of them that work for me. Hardest workers I've got, too. I learned Spanish out of necessity growing up in L.A. not in school. From what I hear from all my compadres back in L.A., Spanish is the FIRST language now. The times they are a changin' (Dylan).
