Anyone make any Father's Day projects? My dad got me my first lathe, and showed me nothing specific to woodturning but everything about life, pride of workmanship and doing the best I can.

I made my dad a mach 3 razor, new project for me and I like to give him the prototype/ serial number one of any project. It is a snapshot in time and a benchmark for how I am progressing as a turner and artist.

Happy Father's Day to all the dads! Enjoy the weekend.

Well I added an internal Thien Baffle to my dust collector. Something I've been thinking about doing for a couple years. Hope it works!

Happy Fathers Day!

Happy Fathers Day!

I recently completed my dust collector upgrade as well. In addition to adding the baffle I added a 55gal dust separator drum, a 40" 1 micron filter and moved the dust collector into another room. The only thing in my shop is the separator drum which I added a clear window slot to so I can see how much I'm actually collecting. 4" Sch.10 plumbing is a whole lot cheaper than the fittings designed for dust collection.
I can't hear it and it works fantastic!

Happy Fathers Day to all you dads out there!

My daughter visited and made dinner.
I made a Q&D table for my wife to do Crossword puzzles while she recuperates from cataract surgeries.
It's still in the clamps; outta be done in a couple of hours.

Screwdriver and a pen. The pen was made from wood which belonged to my grand father. So grandfathers wood, son made the pen, gift for father. Both are mahogany my grandfather loved to work with it.

I didn't do much on FD, but did finish up a special order I had working that I got from the Art in the Park Festival in Blue Ridge over Memorial day. A lady bought one of my spalted hackberry bowls and wanted a set of wine glasses to match... I had them all done except for putting the bulbs on the stems and finished that yesterday.

Awesome work Smulax, the sentimental value is huge too.
