I know there are more than one family on this list whose kid is headed for college soon.

fafsa.com vs fafsa.ed.gov

If you send your info to Fafsa.com they charge you $79 and all they do is send the info to fafsa.ed.gov

If you send your info directly to fafsa.ed.gov it doesn't cost anything.

If you don't know what FAFSA is, don't worry about it and disregard this post.
 
I am amazed at how many people go through these misleading/paid agencies.

Used to work with a local college and whenever I see advertisements of these type, I wonder how many people avail of their services to stay in business that long and afford expensive ads. The service (and more) is free online and any college/university that offers financial aide!!!
