hey guys +gals,im going to haines city fl. for 3 mths. this winter.could or would you send me names places to go for turning wood and or hardwoods tuat i can out up. sendaddresses to my message box. thank you
 
If I think of anything I will send them to International Falls, MN for you to pick them up. Don't want any spoiled snow birds down in Fl giving us northerners a bad name. :biggrin:

On the opposite side (NE vs. SW) of Orlando from Haines City is a town called Casselberry. It's about 35 miles away. There is a place there called Amazon Exotic Hardwoods that will make you drool. They import and mill all kinds of woods, and have a particular specialty in South American exotics. Hang onto your checkbook with both hands, though... :tongue:

Not a lot of the woods found "on the hoof" locally will blow your dress up, although there are some nice cypress knees around, if you like the natural edge or raw bark look in your turnings.
