OK so this has nothing to do with pens but its my second passion, I have been selected to manage our senior softball little league girls Allstars team! We have a real good chance to go to the State tourny! Wish us luck if you wouldn't mind! I have 12 girls from age 14 to 17.

Good luck at the games. For relaxation I umpire little league, Ive been doing it for the last 20 years+. I do a lot of senior girls and senior boys games. they really keep you on your toes. The greatest thing about Senior girls is one minute they are very very competitive serious athletes, the next minute they fuss over breaking a nail.:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:
 
Good luck with the Allstars team, and good luck in advancing to the state!

We're just getting the season started with my daughter's summer league - she's now more serious about playing and advancing, so we finally decided to upgrade her to a composite bat. Until now, I wouldn't spend the money until she had the body mechanics down - thanks to some good coaching, she's almost there.

Kudos to the coaches!

I also umpire, never really thought of it as relaxation!!!!!!!!!!!
just kidding I like to be involved any way I can. 2 of the leagues we play in our district had to have the police called on their parents at 3 different games!!! sure glad I wasnt calling these games.

Update on my Girls Allstar team. We just won our District Championship now off to the State Championship!
 
Congratulations

Keep us posted. You are in a position to teach some young not only how to win but how to be great teammates. Make sure they have lots of fun and plenty of fluids.
 
Congrats on the coaching job and the accomplishments of the team!

I know that it is not nearly as hot or humid in Oregon as it is down south, but make sure those girls have plenty of water or Gatoraid and keep 'em in the shade WHEN YOU CAN.

SOFTBALL TOURNAMENTS ARE BRUTAL ENOUGH IN ANY WEATHER, RECORD HEAT MAKES IT MORE DANGEROUS!
