I received feedback that I can pick up alumilite direct at the factory. 10 gallons is $550, that's a better savings over 2 gallons at $160. Would that expire before I ever used it?
I think they say in the literature that is has a 6 month shelf life if stored in a cool invironment.
I have used some of the alumilite regular(white) that was opened but 18months to 2yrs old, and it worked fine. You just had to shake the hootie-hoo out of both sides before trying to use it.
they come in "cubes" 2 5gallon ones they have spout valves on them.
I would reccommed getting some of the empty alumilite bottles. They are only a dollar apiece and are worth it.
They don't show the bottles on their site, but ask Carol, and she'll set you up.
Great info, thanks guys. I'll start saving my money and go for the 5 gallon deal. It's an expensive start, but over time it's a heck of a savings...that's like getting 3 gallons free. I wonder how much it takes to buy it cheaper than PR..maybe a 48 foot 2 section tanker truck full? hehe. I'll take 8000 gallons please.
I have found a source for clear urethane resin in 55 gallon drums that end up costing around $33 a gallon. PR works out to be around $17 a gallon. Of course shipping truck freight is extra. Thankfully I can drive to pick it up, which would add about an extra $1.50-$2 a gallon.
I can find out when I have my money together. Maybe she'll sell me 1 gallon kits at the 5 gallon price if I buy one or more 5 gallon kits worth. It can ship by anyone, as it isn't hazmat. Wouldn't be any problem at all to pick up an entire pallet of gallons, or whatever, since I have a tractor trailer and a lift gate.
