I've posted before (positively) about Exotic Blanks. This is another attaboy for them. We all know that Dawn & Ed do their best to get our orders to us as accurately and as quickly as possible. But it's those rare instances when things don't go as planned that people show what they're really made of.

I recently took the opportunity to try a new component set Exotic Blanks is offering. I'm not a fan of "theme" pens but this one fit a niche. I got 2 sets. The first went fairly well. A little tight on assembly, but I got it done. The second required WAY too much force on assembly and I cracked the blank. It sucks but sometimes that happens, especially on expensive blanks like TruStone (DAMHIKT). Second attempt at assembly after I turned off the cracked blank and remade the parts was just as bad even after doing quite a bit of sanding on the mating surfaces.

So I contacted Ed. We had a discussion and he offered to replace the component set. As is usual, no digging in heels, no blame assignment, just a frank discussion where we tried to discover what happened and why it happened. I got the replacement set over the weekend and finished the pen today.

Bottom line - if you look up "good customer service" in your dictionary, you'll probably see Ed & Dawn's picture smiling back at you.

Way to go, guys and thanks again.

It has been along time from my last kit ordered, as long as you don't count this last week.
I found it funny that they are not all that far from where I use to live in Wisconsin.
They are one of the few I will consider ordering in the future.
