So one of the guys I work with saw a couple thumpers I made out of mesquite. He asked if he brought me some stabilized ebony if I could turn him a fish bat. I say no problem. Yesterday he gave me a freaking table leg size piece. He showed me where to cut it and to keep the rest of the wood for myself. Like I said, it was supposed to be a fish bat. Instead I ended up making a truncheon that is 15" long and weighs 1lb 9oz. I used alternating pattern of 10g and 14g steel for burn wires. I really wanted to keep this one for my truck.
