Enterprise Macacauba

This is a Woodcraft Enterprise pen in gunmetal and chrome. It's the same as the Berea Sierra Diverse. I had some problems assembling it, but finally got it sorted out. The wood is macacauba, also from Woodcraft. The finish is Pens Plus. Made a handsome pen.

The gunmetal finish is definitely one of my personal favorites. The wood brings granadillo to mind but, sadly, granadillo is sort of a generic name applied to multiple species that look so different. Anyway, I like your solution to the finial fit issue. I forget what kit it was, but I recall having a similar issue. Some of those finial caps are too tight on the twist mechanism in my opinion, but at least they won't fall off.
