engraving

I have an image I want to have engraved on a plaque, but the engraver wants it in a higher resolution. How do I go about bringing it up to specs without distortion. Do I need software or something.

Unless you are really good with PhotoShop (or other photo editing software), it is very difficult to go up in resolution. To most users, resolution is usually a one way street (going down). Don't be fooled by just packing the pic resolution wise...it is easy with PS but you won't really improve the photo quality that way.

It is best to either find a better picture, re-take the photo, re-scan, etc. if at all possible.
