Howdy! I have a commission for a pen. Customer is requesting to use a blue ink cartridge from a "Energel Liquid Gel Ink" 0.7mm pen she handed me. The cartridge is engraved with "Pentel 07 LRN7" as a stock number.

Any idea of pen kits that will work with this style cartidge...or a similar "quick dry" gel ink? She is buying the pen as a gift for her client - so modifying/trimming of cartidriges is NOT ideal for this commission.

Thank you!

I feel like the needle point cartridges work best in a slimmer rollerball. The Jr. series look a little weird with them. The Pilot Precise is another great cartridge with a needle point gel. Here's a few different cartridges for comparison. These were in a fly fishing rollerball, but the fit is about the same with any Jr. style kit. The extension depends on the shoulder of the cartridge.

I don't have a pic of the NP cartridge in a regular rollerball, but this conservative has roughly the same diameter barrel.

Another consideration is the OHTO flash dry 105NP (107NP). They are not cheap refills, but are the fastest drying ink I've used. The cartridges are Parker style, so they fit in a lot of different kits. This is one in a Sierra button click. I can get a pic of the whole pen if you are interested, but don't have one handy now.

Wow Todd - what an outstanding response. The pictures and comparisons are at another level. I prefer the Pilot G2 Broad refills for the Gel ink in my personal rollerballs. I think your comparison information belongs in the resource library. - Dave
Thanks. I have been meaning to expand on that first and then submit it. I've been procrastinating, but I will get to it soon ;).
