Only a few weeks left in the school year! I just got over 100 short essays in to mark (yes, that's right!) and about a week to mark them before exams start!

My wifes an english teacher. She's been out for about 2 weeks now. I am ready for her and the kids to go back to school. I believe the start back Aug. 6th.

This is actually my least favourite time of year, Scott...I have a great time teaching, so it's a bit anticlimactic when we get into culminating activities (essays) and exams...I'll be sad to see them go!
Still, we had a lot of fun with the Romeo and Juliet shoebox activity (imagine that you were Romeo's landlord in Mantua. After the tragic events of the play, you went to clean out his apartment, and found a box under the bed...what would be inside?)...seeing that sort of enthusiasm makes me wish the new year were about to start right away!
