This is one of the things I love about this site. I just don't think there isn't a question I could ask that SOMEONE on here knows the answer to (except for why I always, always get dull spots in my CA finish).

Well, anyhow, I have 3 Powerpoint presentations I have to put together, and in each of them I need to embed a video clip from a sermon (studying 3 different preachers so I just subscribed to their video podcast).

Here is what I need to be able to do, if anyone has any advice.

1) Clip a 10-minute portion of the video as a "sample" of this guys preaching.

2) Embed this into Powerpoint (I believe I am using the 03 version).

I know you can embed other video files, but I just don't know how to clip out 10 minutes, save it, and I don't even know if Powerpoint will support the Itunes file format. Can this even be done?

Well, part of your problem is you're going to need to edit the length of the video, so you're probably going to need some form of video editing software. The good thing is that whatever software you get will probably allow you to save to a PP happy file type, which will solve your other problem.

More than likely getting the video editing software will be the tricky part.

Oh, and I dont know if this will help at all:

http://keepvid.com/

It'll allow for some online vids to be captured. You'll have to rename the file to a .flv file. Then, you'll need a program like 'Super' that will export a flv to something like an avi.
