Embedded Casting

I've had a lot of issues trying to cast some coffee bean blanks. I'm using a square mold. And maybe that's the issue. How do you keep all the embedded stuff from floating to the top? Would this be solved by using a vertical mold instead?

Bill that is one of the oldest items to be tried casting of and many have done it here as well have many just turned some. There are problems with both operations and I will try to find some of the links for past threads here.

Easy fix Bill. Get you a roll of 1/4" natural braid from hobby lobby and cut a piece to be held over the mold with rubber bands that you can pour through. Other options are bags oranges or onions come in, pull a bath scrunchie apart or a piece of wire fence. I prefer the soft material and throw it away after a couple uses.
