El Grande

Doesn't anyone make the El Grande? I did a search in the photo section, pen making, etc. etc., all came up blank. I thought I might come up with some advice in making a "closed end" version. I could have sworn I saw a picture of one once, but I don't remember where. Anyone tried it?

I have done a number of closed end El Grandes, you may have seen them here in pictures. The last one was for the PITH for Johnnie, who just left us.
To make them, I use a home made pin chucks. Just be careful, there is not too much wood thickness on an El Grande, but it makes a beautiful, light pen.

I f you want to make an El Grande, IMHO the master would be Rich Kleinhenz. If you look at his site and his gallery at the penmakers Guild, you will find about any madification there is.
