Please this is not meant to be political, just funny so please no political post!

Sometime this year, we taxpayers will again receive another 'Economic
Stimulus' payment.
This is indeed a very exciting program, and I'll explain it by
using a Q & A format:

Q. What is an 'Economic Stimulus' payment ?

A. It is money that the federal government will send to taxpayers.

Q.. Where will the government get this money ?

A. From taxpayers.

Q. So the government is giving me back my own money ?

A. Only a smidgen of it.

Q. What is the purpose of this payment ?

A. The plan is for you to use the money to purchase a
high-definition TV set, thus stimulating the economy.

Q. But isn't that stimulating the economy of China ?

A.. Shut up.

Below is some helpful advice on how to best help the U.S. economy by
spending your stimulus check wisely:

If you spend the stimulus money atWal-Mart, the money will
go to China or Sri Lanka .

If you spend it on gasoline, your money will go to the
Arabs.

If you purchase a computer, it will go to India , Taiwan or
China .

If you purchase fruit and vegetables, it will go to Mexico ,
Honduras and Guatemala ..

If you buy an efficient car, it will go to Japan or Korea .

If you purchase useless stuff, it will go to Taiwan .

If you pay your credit cards off, or buy stock, it will go
to management bonuses and they will hide it offshore.

Instead, keep the money in America by:

1) Spending it at yard sales, or

2) Going to ball games, or

3) Spending it on prostitutes, or

4) Beer or

5) Tattoos.

(These are the only American businesses still operating in the U.S. )

Conclusion:

Go to a ball game with a tattooed prostitute that you met at a yard
sale and drink beer all day !

No need to thank me, I'm just glad I could be of help.

Roy Thanks for the great Idea, think I'll do just that!!

Roy, you forgot number 6:rolleyes::biggrin:

6 ) Keep the money in your pocket and get mugged by someone that didn't get the Stimulus payment cos they didn't pay first:wink:

Skippy, You forget, this is America. Not paying in any taxes is not a barrier to getting money from other peoples taxes. Matter of fact, it entitles you to more of other peoples taxes. :)

BUY PEPPERMILL mechanisms from www.exoticblanks.com. (Made in USA) Then buy curly maple or walnut from your local sawmill!!! (Grown and cut in USA). Pick up a nice steak at your local grocer (careful, some of this is Mexico now, but lots is still raised in USA, fed corn from USA--if it is not used in making ethanol) Cook the steak on your Weber grill (made in USA), careful about the charcoal, may have to use cutoffs from pruning your trees.

As you eat the steak, you will be pretty happy with yourself and LOTS of American farmers will be happy too. Just remember, the American farmers are also subsidized with, you guessed it, TAX money.

Confused???? Don't try to understand it, it's government!!

(Funny thing is, we had a similar conversation last evening with a Brit-visiting the USA. He felt the same way about their system, and he "beat out" :frown::frown::frown:eek:ur 10% sales tax story with HIS 17% VAT story:eek::eek::eek:)

Just for the "information and edification" of the member who sent me a pm, stating that the peppermill mechs were all made in China, here is an excerpt from the website of Chef specialties:
"Wood comes from Maine, and the commercial quality mechanism is made in Pennsylvania. Assembled in USA."

Always happy to contribute to EDucation--help you get your facts right. I do not "need to do better", my information was EXACTLY correct, it appears!

(Yes, there is a history here, not just a single statement)
